That HAIR!

My mini has the best hair. I'm sure she is going to ask to have it cut soon and that is going to break my heart (not to mention her daddy's too!). She and I went out for a little photo shoot before she turned 5 and she was dancing around and I got some great pics of her....and her hair!

A little story for her so she knows why she was out in some field being photographed!

I used my silhouette to cut this part of the title out of the main sheet and then backed it with a piece of cardstock to make it pop.

I used some mini letters that came with the paper line and popped it up. I added some bling for her on the butterfly.

I used the sketch from ScrapMuch? and I'm also linking up to Crash Your Stash as #18. (I don't think I'm going to make 50 projects before I buy something, but I'm still trying!)

Just also want to share my favourite picture taken that day, man I just love her to bits! It's already been scrapped too!

The Perfect Day: Guest Designer at Lasting Memories

This marks my last reveal as March's guest designer at Lasting Memories and their friendship challenge. Thank you Karen and Michele and the rest of the fabulous ladies for having me!

This was such a fun day, and wow was I ever burnt. Probably the worst burn I've ever had on my face - that sun reflected so badly!

Let's do this! These kids had just a fantastic day out on the ice and playing with one another. A truly great day, because the adults enjoyed themselves as well!

Loved this corner section of the sketch. So cool!

A little story about the day and this one is done!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sisters: Guest Designer at Lasting Memories

I'm sharing my third layout for Lasting Memories and their great March Friendship challenge! My girls (so far) don't like to be separated. I've seen them collapse on the floor in hugs when I pick them up at daycare as they haven't been together much during the day. There have been many tears when I make them sleep in their own beds. I will take their relationship as it is, for as long as it will last. This picture was taken on the way into a restaurant for dinner. Love them.

I love that title, I cut it on my cameo and I have a used it a few times already. I decided after I had the photo stuck down that I wanted the title cut out of my page. I got lucky again and it cut perfectly. I have great success cutting with the photo stuck down already as long as it's not too bulky. I don't recommend it, but it *can* work!

I used sketch #114 from Let's Capture Our Memories. Also sharing at Crash Your Stash as #16.

Let's Scrap: Science

Welcome to my version of the March 15th sketch over at Let's Scrap! These are pictures from the girls' March Break in 2012. My husband was able to take it off with them and they had a new daily adventure. They went ice fishing, spent a day exploring Manitoulin Island and enjoyed Science North for the first time. As the littlest was just three, she ended up spending the week at daycare with her friends.

It's funny because this title is so true today! My oldest absolutely loves anything science! It's a file purchased from the silhouette store called Science Love. I just flipped the heart as I want the arrow pointing inwards.

This picture makes me uncomfortable, but she is fine with creepy crawlers. She will kill them in the house for me, she's so brave!

Here's the sketch to play with, you have two weeks to link up!

As usual, I have to thank my husband for always taking pictures whenever he is out with the girls - he's always providing me with great photos to scrap!

Also sharing with Crash Your Stash as #15.

Miss You!: Guest Designer at Lasting Memories

I'm back with my 2nd week of guesting at Lasting Memories. This week's theme is "So Happy Together". This is a picture of my best friend and I when she came for a scrappy visit with two of our other friends. Three years ago, my family moved 5.5 hours away from home and I miss her like crazy. Every. Single. Day.

This is also the pic that hangs in my scrap cave - or it used to be before it ended up on this page! My Selphy will be printing a new one very soon to replace it.

Partners in Crime: Guest Designer at Lasting Memories

I'm back *home* for the month of March! I'm guest designing over at Lasting Memories! I am excited to be back with those talented ladies!  The theme this month is friendship and the partners in crime theme this week, made me think of this picture of my oldest and her friend in the back of a cop car at a kids event years ago. If both families hadn't moved away, I was afraid this may have been a reality in the future!

I used an older sketch from the archives at Stick it Down for my layout. The title is purchased from the Silhouette store. Sharing at Crash Your Stash as #13.
I wish I could tell you the papers I used, but they were so old, back from when I first started scrapping and I was silly and cut all the info off the papers back then.

Let's Scrap: Beach Babes

This is so exciting! This is my first official reveal with the Let's Scrap design team! When they put out the call, we were asked to do a layout based on the sketch below. It spoke to me immediately and I really like the resulting layout!

The title is purchased from the silhouette store, aptly called Beach Babes. I tucked the umbrella under the title, because, why not?

I love these stickers from the diy line from Simple Stories. Actually, I pretty much love anything from Simple Stories!

Here's the sketch and you have two weeks to link up and play along!

Sharing at Crash Your Stash as #12.
