Week 5 of Project Life 2014

I decided that my album so far was a bit dark with the paper collections I had used.  I found this one deep in my stash and it fit the bill for bright and colourful! I still have lots left so I'm sure to use it again as I think it's very pretty!

I'm linking this up at Crash Your Stash as #9&10! Only 40 more to go before I can buy some more yummy scrappy goodness.

My 50 projects was a goal I set for myself, but my darling husband just used it against me ;) before we moved here I would go to ScrapFest in Kitchener every year. It's during my birthday weekend and I've booked time off work to make the 5.5 hour drive so that I can go this year. He said, "absolutely go! You won't be finished 50 projects by April - it won't cost a thing!" For ScrapFest I will fail in my goal and buy new stuff!

I kind of feel like I have been in a scrapping slump lately, I haven't really done a layout since my scrappy weekend in October. However, I am hoping this has changed today. I saw a sketch and it was open for any project and I had a little flicker of inspiration! When I went to the cave, it was so quick and easy to get this finished. I really hope I'm back!!!

Week 4 of Project Life 2014

My husband and girls have been spent lots of time out on the lake ice fishing and skating this weekend. I had to drop them off and then they went by quad, when they were finished I went and picked them up. The time in between was mine to do with what I choose. I keep saying I would be in the cave, but hadn't managed to get there yet because groceries and laundry need doing. I will get there eventually.

I have had this done for about a week, but it as finally sunny for the picture today!

This is 6&7 of my 2015 project 50 for Crash Your Stash!

Week 3 of Project Life 2014

I hid away in my cave after the girls went to bed last night. Don't worry, I wasn't ignoring my hubby - he was outside in -25 C temperatures finishing up his ice hut. It's all ready to go so I'm sure there will be tonnes of ice fishing layouts coming soon.

This is week three from 2014 - only 49 weeks behind now!

I'm sharing this at Crash Your Stash as projects 4&5.

Week 2 of Project Life 2014

This is week two of project life for 2014. I'm just a little behind. I will keep taking my picture a day in 2015 and maybe (doubtful) I can catch up!

I even have most of 2014 printed and ready to go! All I need is uninterrupted  time.

I'm sharing this at Mema's Crafts (anything goes) and Crash Your Stash (projects 2&3)

Santa was here!

Christmas has come and gone for another year; but relax there are just 354 days until the next one - are you shopping yet?? HA!

This is for my oldest's book pile and I'm shocked that I have a layout done for her so quickly. I am pretty far behind in my scrapping...also pretty behind in actually putting completed layouts in albums.

You can see in that picture that I have a lot of layouts to put in page protectors and then in albums. You can also see that I have boxes of protectors there just waiting to be used! (The pizza boxes are also full of layouts). Cue my embarrassment!

This is my first layout in my quest for 50 projects before purchasing any more scrappy goodness!

My inspiration was found here:
Sketch ~N~ Scrap: Sketch #72
Lasting Memories: Simple pleasures (kids waking up on Christmas morning)
Scrap Our Stash: T (tree bark paper) W (wood veneer) I (inked edges) N (numbers) E (even number of photos)
Crash Your Stash: #1 of 50

My top 10 of 2014!

Each year I look back through my blog and smile at the memories that my layouts were created from. I didn't post as much in 2014, but I did have a major scrap event happen. I finished my first project life album, The year 2013, a picture a day in what my husband calls my photo journal. I'm in love with it and I hope to share it with my grandchildren one day...just not one day soon!!!

Anyway, here are my top 10 favourite projects of no particular order!

As always, thanks for stopping by!
