Stick it Down: Butterfly

I love that my husband has never been afraid to take the girls out on his own. I love it even more that he always takes pics for me to scrap! This was a day when I had to work and he wanted them out of the house. The had a great time!

I absolutely loved this weeks sketch that we were given from Stick it Down! I will be using it again for sure, I love even just the left side all on its own! I have plans for it!

You can link up over at SID until September 29. Come and play and see if a guest design spot will be yours in October!

Week 41 of Project Life: Add a list

Lists are such a great way to add a filler card to your PL spread and that is just what Stuck On U Sketches is asking you to do this week!

My list quickly sums up the great week we had.  Isn't the baby snake so cute!?!

Don't forget that SOUS is currently celebrating five years and each team is hopping! There are some great prizes so head over there and hop along with each team!

My team's hop is here. I have a RAK for any follower of mine who hops!

Sketch ~N~ Scrap: Officially Creeped Out

I went a little different from the sketch this week! I loved the hexagons from Carta Bella's Happy Haunting collection, that I had to cut them out. Again. I have a little bit left of the paper, so I can probably even do it on one more layout!

To make matters worse, and kind of creepy to fit the title, when I was taking the picture of my layout a horse fly (or deer fly) landed on it!

We are so lucky to have a returning sponsor this month, The Robin's Nest is back and offering a $15 gift certificate to their store this month for one randomly drawn winner!!!  Here is a little bit about our awesome sponsor:

Sketch ~N~ Scrap Inspired By: You Melt My Heart

It's time for another "Inspired By" challenge at Sketch ~N~ Scrap! What this means is that Lisa or Kelly have seen a layout they were inspired by and created a sketch from that layout (with the consent from the original artist!). They then give the team the sketch and we are inspired to create our layouts. We hope that you, too, will be inspired by the sketch (and original layout!) to create your own layout and share it with us over at SNS! We always have great prizes too!

Goodbye to Lasting Memories

Most every Sunday morning for the last 18 months, there has been a post on my blog for Lasting Memories, however, I made the decision this week to step down from the team.

I have enjoyed the challenges over this time, and I thank everyone on the team there for their inspiration!

I am going to try to keep playing along with their challenges, but am also going to try to scrap more for me.

Thanks again ladies for your challenges and to the ladies who stopped by my blog - your comments mean the world to me!

Sketch ~N~ Scrap: Fun at the Park

Holy snap! It's September! How the heck did that happen, we didn't even really have a summer. The bugs were bad in the spring because there was not heat to kill them off. My pool never went over 72 and now it's almost time to throw the cover back on. I read today we are expecting another horrible winter. I'm actually thrilled about that because the cold will kill everything that I am allergic to!

These pictures I used for my Sketch ~N~ Scrap reveal were taken a few summers ago, when we had a really great summer. It as perfect, with only about 4 nights that I was wishing we had central air.

A closer look at my title, a file that I purchased from the silhouette store.

And the sketch.
