Stick it Down: Exploring Manitoulin

The first year we lived here, my husband as able to take March Break off. We sent the youngest to daycare and he and the older two went on daily adventures. He is always so good about taking photos for me to scrap! We love exploring the island, there is always something new and exciting to see!

I hope you play along with the sketch at Stick it Down, it's another great one from Shelby!

Love the little lighthouse! (file on silhouette store)

Lasting Memories #205: The Perfect Staycation

I think I may have gone outside the box for this "Vacation Memories" challenge at Lasting Memories this week! We aren't a 'take a trip somewhere warm' kind of family. My girls are happiest when we they are fishing with their papa. They spent most of the March Break at a family friend's ice shack and they had such a great time!

I found the perfect title cut at the Silhouette Store! The perfect staycation, indeed!

I used Christine's fabulous sketch, 11 photos on one page! Amazing!!!

Lasting Memories #204: School Rocks

School has already started or will be starting soon for most of our kids and as such, the challenge this week at Lasting Memories is to use alphas/numbers on your layout!

I found this great file on the Silhouette store and used it for my background, can't get any more 'number-y' than that!

Sketch ~N~ Scrap #63: Little Miss Independent

Time for another Sketch ~N~ Scrap challenge! My daughter is now 9, so it goes without saying that I am terribly behind in my scrapbooking!  She has always been very independent and is already asking to babysit and she wants to learn to drive!  I think I've been waiting for this sketch for these pictures.  They were taken during her 16th month but on different days, so the outfits (or lack thereof) and colours are different.  I think I struggled with that!

We hope you will find time to play along with us this month for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Scrapbook.com from our awesome sponsor Lissa at  Mighty Crafty:

Lissa is excited to sponsor this month's prize giveaway: a $20 gift certificate to Scrapbook.com. She also has a special bonus to share her love of Origami Owl -- a free Charm giveaway for new subscribers and Facebook followers for August. Visit MightyCrafty to find out more and enter to win!

Lasting Memories 202: Summer Story & a winner!

It's a colour challenge this week at Lasting Memories! I took this picture of my six year old this weekend at my mom's house. She is a daredevil and she's so strong! She was doing the monkey bars forwards and backwards. She was copying an older girl on these bars and was having so much fun!

This picture is fun because it reminds me of when I was a kid playing at the park, although I could never do the stuff she can - no matter how hard I tried!

The colour photo inspiration!

My winner from the Lasting Memories blog hop is Vickie! Please email me your information August 10th and I will send out your RAK ASAP!

Sketch ~N~ Scrap #62: Capture the moment

With my middle girl, capturing the moment is what it is all about. She is never still for 2 seconds and loves to pose for the camera, she is often heard asking me to "come and take a picture!" This sketch from Sketch ~N~ Scrap was perfect to use for her fake glasses pictures.

My older daughter was in the cave with me when I was creating this layout and now she wants to use my mists too. I think hubby is going to have to share his garage floor with us, because she is not spraying in my house!
