Week 36 of Project Life: Stickles

Over at Stuck On U Sketches, our new challenge was to use stickles.  Stickles for me are always an afterthought so I completed my spread and then found a spot to add them!

I am getting pretty excited, my first year of project life is almost finished, I'm definitely on the home stretch now!

You have until July 13th to link up over on the SOUS blog!  See you there!

Inspired by #6: I think you're the bee's knees

It's time for another "Inspired By" sketch challenge at Sketch ~N~ Scrap!  My fellow DT members have completely rocked this sketch!

At first, I was really intimidated by this sketch, with the divided background. I loved the arrangement with the layers and the chevrons, so I went with a solid background, and I love how it turned out!

Scrappy Friends Challenge: Happy

This is the first layout that I have done in a very long time that is just for me!  I found a few challenges to play along with which you can find at the bottom of this post!

I'm also thrilled to say that is project #50 that I have posted before buying new paper! I did it!  Completely beat my dismal attempt of 8 projects from last year.

You can find the challenges here!
Kelly's word challenge: I used happy.
Brenda's sketch
Rochelle's Tic-Tac-Toe: I used zig zag stitching, kraft and hexagons
Danielle P Buttons: I used on on the hexagon at the top left hand side

Thanks for stopping by!

Stuck on U Sketches: Week 34 of Project Life

I'm going to give you a really easy clue to the new Project Life challenge at Stuck on U Sketches!

I'm guessing the clue was too easy!  Yes, the challenge is to use yellow as your dominant colour! Incredibly easy!

I got out my cameo again for this one.  I have to say, I really like my date card this week. Even more importantly, I've done 34 weeks!!!  Wow, I'll be into 2014 before I know it!!!

Ever since I posted that Yellow little picture, I have had Jem's cover version of Coldplay's Yellow going through my head.  It's hauntingly beautiful, YouTube it if you have a spare moment!

Sketch~N~Scrap #58: School Days

Another great sketch courtesy of Lisa over at Sketch N Scrap!

This layout is of my wee-est one's 2013/14 school pics. The single photo is from October and the other is the spring photo. I love that in the spring they will do all your kids or your kids and their friends together. This is the second year in a row that I have been pleased with the result.

I can't believe she is almost finished with her first year of Maternelle. I think she will be devastated to know that she won't have the same teacher next year. She, and all the kids, simply adore Madame Michéle. Next year she gets our next door neighbour so I'm hoping she will be happy with that!
