Week 25 of Project Life (2013): Use a pocket

One of the reasons I love being on any design team is that they make me leave my comfort zone.  I have never used a pocket before, never seen the point.  However, this week at Stuck On U Sketches, that's just what we are asking you to do!  Now having used one, I see the point!  I wrote out the whole story of my middle daughter's stomach bug and it's hidden, yet easily accessible.

Lasting Memories #179: Cookies!

We are having a theme challenge at Lasting Memories this week!  We're asking you to show us your Food/Beverage .. Guilty Pleasures!  I had to search high and low for this picture of my girls showing off the cookies they made at daycare during March Break last year.  They were colourful, but wow were they awful!  The girls didn't even eat them.

I used this week's sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.

Week 24 project life

I tried something different for this week. I normally do a two page spread for each week, but I didn't print any full size pics so I decided to do a single page and I really like it!  Good thing, because now I have to do week 25 in the same manner! I will use the same papers so it will flow nicely.

Week 23 of Project Life (2013): Use a Heart Negative

At Stuck On U Sketches this week we are asking you to use the negative from a heart cut out.

I used several types of hearts this week.  On page two there is the negative heart cut out and then I used the heart itself on page one.  Also on page one I cut some interlocking hearts on my cameo because that was a special week and I got to see my friends from down south for a few days at my place!  We had our first annual scrap cave weekend.  We are currently planning the second one and even though there is approximately 1200 metres of snow outside, I am thrilled!

Here is our sponsor for the month of February!

Scraps of Darkness is a monthly kit club offering
2 different styled kits and an incredible amount of creative
add-ons! Check them out! They are awesome!

So remember to submit your projects to be eligible to have chance to win
all month, any challenge! Winner for this awesome blog candy
will be announced March 14 (after closing of the last Feb challenge.)
$25 gift credit for the shop!

Lasting Memories #177: Love at first sight

This week at Lasting Memories we are asking you to use pink and red on your layout! It's always a challenge for me to create a mono-chromatic(ish) layout.  This time it was simple as I used a Valentine's Day theme collection.  Easy, peasy as my oldest says!

I even got out some mist and a 12x12 template!  Thankfully, I moved my iPad before I sprayed (I was watching Netflix!).

I used the February sketch from Two Scrapbook Friends for this.  If you want to play along for their prize make sure you do the crafty challenge as well, they go together!  I just loved the sketch and had to use it!

Other challenges entered:
Mema's Crafts“Who or What makes your heart smile?” (my babe does!)
The Paper Girls Challenge Blog:  Love
Craft Hoarders Anonymous: Your style - My style is CAS!
Paper Wings Productions: Anything Goes
Off The Rails ScrapbookingUse a photo or memorabilia of a loved one
Scrap it Girl: Hearts (upside down in the paper strip under photo)
Red Carpet Studio: Love Actually

Lasting Memories #176: Spring or Winter layouts on Ground Hog day.

It's Ground Hog day! Will he see his shadow? Will spring finally be coming or are we stuck with a longer winter?

This week at Lasting Memories, in anticipation of Ground Hog's day, we are asking for either winter or spring themed layouts.

To me this is a layout that fits for both!  The picture was taken on March 30, 2013 which is technically spring but the amount of snow still on the ground indicates winter!  The girls had so much fun jumping in the puddles that the melting snow created.  I did not have so much fun doing all the laundry when they came inside!  It was worth their giggles and laughter though.  Really.

I'm linking this up with the following challenges:
I used sketch #66 from My Scraps & More Sketches.
Where Life Meets Art:  use dimensional adhesive

Sketch N Scrap: February 1st sketch

It is time for a new sketch from Sketch N Scrap! I deviated a wee bit as I only used two pictures, but that is what is so wonderful about sketches. You change them up and make them your own, 1000 people could create from the same sketch and no two would be the same.

I used photos of my hubby and oldest daughter when she got her new set of golf clubs.  Of course they had to try them out right away.  They couldn't even wait to get outside.  Good thing they didn't use balls!

Now I know you can't wait to get started on the sketch, but beside giving you plenty of inspiration, how about a prize for you to play along for?  This month we have an awesome prize for you courtesy of Sketch N Scrap!  For each entry you submit we will enter your name into the random drawing once for this:
