My 2015 scrappy goals

In 2014 I did something called "Project 50", which involved me not being able to purchase anything NEW until I had created 50 projects. Now, I tried this in 2013 and failed miserably. I caved after just 8 layouts. Pitiful. I'm not sure what happened in 2014, but I completed all 50 projects and the only thing I had to buy was adhesive.

I considered that a huge accomplishment but at the same time, I was a little lot embarrassed that it really didn't put a dent in my stash. I have decided to challenge myself to another 50 projects starting January 1st - again with only being able to buy adhesive.

I was hoping there would be a few of you out there that would like to join me on my stash-busting quest. I've created a new blog for us to share our progress.

My requests for Crash Your Stash:

1. Create your own goals and share them in your blog posts

2. When you link up, visit the two blogs linked before you and leave a comment

Sketch ~N~ Scrap #71: Snow

This is sadly my last reveal with the Sketch ~N~ Scrap team. I have truly enjoyed creating with each sketch and I thank Lisa and Kelly for having me as part of their team this past year!

I just love this picture of my girl. We came home from daycare and I got them to change into dresses very quickly as the light was fading. The snow was still clinging to the trees from the small storm we had and the scenery was just stunning! I knew I needed to take them out for some photos!

When I was taking this she said, "look mom, I'm Elsa and the cold never bothered me anyway." I still need to get that on this layout somewhere!

Here's the sketch:

Sketch ~N~ Scrap: Time flies

My medium girl (my girls describe themselves as small, medium and large, not youngest, middle and oldest!) has always been one to pose for the camera. This is her at 1 and 6 years old doing what she does best.

This is my second last reveal with the SNS team so come back and see me again on December 15th!

The sketch, you can find it over at Sketch ~N~ Scrap with the other sketches for December!

Project Life App

I'm so behind the times with the Project Life App. It's been out for a while but it was on sale for $0.99 yesterday and I bought it.

Within five minutes I had two pages created. I'm not sure I will ever use it as a stand alone item, but the photo combined with a filler card or journaling card is perfect to create and print with my Selphy! I will also use it for my journaling, the handwritten font is wonderful!

If I sent out a photo Christmas card, I would absolutely make it with this app.

Week 44: Wood grain

It's such a super easy challenge this week at Stuck On U Sketches! I mean, who doesn't have lots of fabulous yummy wood grain something in their stash?

I'm also sad to say that this is the last reveal for the Project Life team. It was fun while it lastest and I very much enjoyed learning to document our life in this manner. I would like to thank the team at Stuck On U Sketches for having me along for the ride!

I'm already hard at work on my 2014 album - or at least I have most of the photos printed!!! Stay tuned.

Sketch ~N~ Scrap: Moments

My oldest has always been incredibly independent. I wanted to help her out with her bread but she insisted she could butter it on her own. She did a good job and on both sides!

Come and play along with us at Sketch ~N~ Scrap and share your version of this sketch or one of the other great ones for November!

Sketch ~N~ Scrap: Enjoy the Autumn

It's time for the inspired by sketch at Sketch ~N~ Scrap! I was looking for a fab sketch in order to scrap this photo. I love it. She didn't want to come out with me for a photo shoot but then changed her mind and said, "5 minutes mom". I put those 5 minutes to good use and got some great shots, but this was my favourite. She was walking away from me and I called her name and snapped it as she turned to me.

You have the full month of November to link up and play along!

Week 43: Plaid

It's project life time over at Stuck On U Sketches! The challenge this week is to use plaid on your spread! I went a bit overboard maybe, I used one sheet for a whole side.

Project Life: Week 45

On my scrap weekend retreat I completed my 2013 project life album. It was the first time I've attempted something like this and I did it. I can't wait to start on my 2014 album!

I'm going to share a page a day until they are all posted (other than my two DT projects)

Sunday, October 26, 2014

Last one for tonight, I promise. I just needed to get them all linked up with the challenges before the due dates! This sketch is from Stuck?!

I can't believe how little they were in this photo. The still love each other too!

I love playing along with the Scrappy Friends! I combined all their challenges into the above layout!

GrandDiva's Sketch:

Rochelle's TicTacToe board:
(I chose the camera, orange and handmade embellishment - sprayed background and hand-stitched circle)

Kelly's Word Challenge: (adorable)

I know this paper isn't Easter, but I wanted to use it so badly! I just loved it!

I haven't played at Sketches In Thyme in forever, but this sketch needed to be done!

fallen leaves

Another fabulous sketch from ScrapMuch? Once I had this title, I couldn't get the Billy Talent song out of my head! The little writing under the title says 'on the groud.'

My blog is going to seem like it's exploding! I've been at a retreat all weekend and I got so much accomplished! I completed my 2013 Project Life Album, a picture a day - everyday, all done! I counted and I used 50 pocket pages. Let's focus on the positive that I completed that album and not that I'm almost a year behind on my 2014 album!

I got to play along with a few sketch challenges as well!

This is the first sketch I chose from Scrapmuch? I loved it!

Stuck On U Sketches: Black, Orange and White

Since it's October and Halloween is quickly approaching, Stuck On U Sketches is asking you to use black, orange and white on your spread. I chose these pics of my girl creating her jack o' lanterns and then going out for candy. She is looking less than thrilled in her Supergirl costume because it was so cold out and she just wanted to be done with the whole thing!

You have 2 weeks to share your creation with us!

Another card....Sketch ~N~ Scrap floral challenge

My team is back up at Sketch ~N~ Scrap with the floral challenge.

For me, a floral challenge means I get to pull out my crochet thread and go to town! For sure, those three flowers took longer to make than the card itself, but I love making them.

Week 42 Project Life: "Keep Calm and ..."

I admit to not getting the whole "keep calm" craze going on in the world, however when I found out the challenge this week at Stuck On U Sketches, I found this one and it fit perfectly with O's birthday gift.

I still don't get it, but it works!

You have until October 19 to keep calm with us!

Sketch ~N~ Scrap: First Skate

When I think back to O's first years on skates, it amazes me how far she has come! She started learning the basic jumps last year and just absolutely loves being on the ice.

You have until the end of October to link up at Sketch ~N~ Scrap. The sketch rocks, show us what you can do with it!

Psst, I got a sewing machine as an anniversary gift from my hubby and I finally got up the courage to use it! I watched the video and followed the steps and I love the look of it!!

Stick it Down: Butterfly

I love that my husband has never been afraid to take the girls out on his own. I love it even more that he always takes pics for me to scrap! This was a day when I had to work and he wanted them out of the house. The had a great time!

I absolutely loved this weeks sketch that we were given from Stick it Down! I will be using it again for sure, I love even just the left side all on its own! I have plans for it!

You can link up over at SID until September 29. Come and play and see if a guest design spot will be yours in October!

Week 41 of Project Life: Add a list

Lists are such a great way to add a filler card to your PL spread and that is just what Stuck On U Sketches is asking you to do this week!

My list quickly sums up the great week we had.  Isn't the baby snake so cute!?!

Don't forget that SOUS is currently celebrating five years and each team is hopping! There are some great prizes so head over there and hop along with each team!

My team's hop is here. I have a RAK for any follower of mine who hops!
