Lasting Memories #171: Here comes Santa

I can't believe we haven't been to see Santa yet this year.  We'd better hurry or we will miss out!

This week at Lasting Memories, we are focusing on Santa!

This is from my youngest's second Santa visit.  She did pretty well, although the tears started flowing shortly after this picture was taken.  How time flies, she just turned four this year.  She's not a baby any more.

I used the sketch from Stuck? for this layout.

Week 18 of Project Life: Tabbed Card

These last two weeks have just flown by.  The youngest is sick, first time we've ever dealt with croup, a few sleepless nights there.

This week at Stuck On U Sketches we are asking you to use a tabbed card on your project.  I hope you've checked out what the team created this challenge.  Spectacular!

How do you Project Life?

I showed up very late to the Project Life party.  I didn't start documenting 2013 until April, even though I started taking my 'photo of the day' on January 1st.  I have a specific folder on my Facebook that I post my photo to each day, with a little blurb about what we were doing.  Then when I am ready to actually create my spread, I just open that album and my journalling is already done!  I just have to copy it over.  It's so easy!!

I also find that having a silhouette machine is an amazing tool for me.  There are so many files that are just perfect for the pocket style documenting that I do.  I use it more for this that I do for traditional layouts.

My biggest problem now is that I am on week 18 of 2013 and 2014 is knocking on the door!  Do I finish 2013 first or do both years at the same time??

The one thing I am going to do for continuity sake is have the same style title on each double page spread that I do.  The silhouette store has lots of choices, so I just have to pick one!

I only managed to get the one side of the spread completed, but the tabbed card (or my version of it) is in the bottom right hand corner.

Songs of Christmas Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Songs of Christmas Blog Hop with Two Scrapbook Friends! You should have arrived here from Jayne's blog.

Our Blog Hop is all about the Songs of Christmas and the inspiration for my project comes from the song "In the Eyes of a Child" from Air Supply's Christmas album.

Each Christmas we put on some theme music and the girls decorate the Christmas tree. My husband always lifts them up to do the higher branches. They just love this time of the year!

I did a fair bit of fussy cutting on this layout because I wanted the tree to have some dimension, and really who doesn't love pop dots? The title is cut with my cameo, I love that machine too!

I hope you have a great time hopping and feel like getting scrappy! Christmas is fast approaching and you will have lots of new memories to preserve.

So remember, in order to be entered to win the special prize all you have to do is hop from Blog to Blog and leave a comment on each as you go. Then simply check back at the Two Scrapbook Friends blog on December 10th to see if you are the lucky winner!
Here are the featured blogs in our Blog Hop:

Your next blog will be: Jodi's!   Have fun hopping!

I used sketch #163 from Liz Chidester.

Lasting Memories #169: Red, White and Green!

You can tell it's getting close to Christmas!  The challenge blogs are all asking you to get Merry! and what better way to do that than to create a layout using red, white and green?  That is what Lasting Memories is asking you to do this week - get festive with red, white and green!

I used some black too, I hope that is not cheating!  This is my little Santa Baby, this kid adores wearing her Santa hat each and every year.  In fact, she is currently watching a Christmas show wearing a hat right now!

I used the latest sketch from Stuck on U Sketches to create this.

Stick it Down!

As if life isn't hectic enough around here, I decided a bit ago that I wanted to try my hand a coordinating a sketch only blog.  Soon after one of the challenge blogs I was a part of closed down and I had a wee bit of time on my hands.

Stick it Down was born.  An amazing response to the DT call showed me that there was interest and now the team has been announced.

I am so happy to say that I am going to be on one of the reveal teams as well!

Look for my reveals on the third Tuesday of each month and I hope you pop over and play along!

Week 17 of Project Life: Scalloped Circles

It's almost the end of the year, and I'm way back in April 2013!!

This week at Stuck on U Sketches the project life team was asked to use scalloped circles in some way.  I used a few circles and used my scallop circle punch and then a few scalloped circle stickers as well.

I just loved the little skunks in this collection!  It's been in my stash forever.

Lasting Memories: Snowflakes and snowballs

It's all about the snow this week at Lasting Memories! We had a fantastic winter last year. Tons and tons of snow. It was just awesome! The girls were outside playing and ice fishing all the time!

Being outside is what makes our girls truly HAPPY!

I let my cameo do a lot of the work on this layout.  I cut the title on the background page and then added the dark blue behind.  I used my sketch pen for the journaling.  Then finished it off with a little seam binding ribbon.
