Lasting Memories #146 - Special Celebration

Lasting Memories is asking you to share a Special Celebration with us this week.

I chose this photo of my daughters' baptism in 2012.  All three of my girls were baptized at the same time.  It really was a lovely day, we had family over afterwards for a wonderful dinner!

I used another great sketch from Nuts About Sketches.

Week 2 of Project Life

It's time again for another Project Life reveal with Stuck on U Sketches!

This week we are asking you to add twine to your page(s).

I am absolutely loving this Project Life thing!  I had a little retreat at my house this past weekend and I got 2.5 weeks completed.  I just love it!  It is so much fun.

Hope to see you joining in with us!

Lasting Memories #144 - Tell me a story

This week at Lasting Memories, we are asking you to "tell me a story".

I chose this picture of my girls because it really shows the "story" of their relationship.  They always kiss and hug when they head to their separate classrooms at school and when I pick them up from school.  It's hard to get them to sleep in their own beds, they prefer to sleep together.  My girls really don't like to be apart.  The look on the two older girls' faces just proves how much they love each other.

People tell us we are incredibly lucky to have them be so close and I agree.  I do hope it keeps up into their teens!!

I used the June sketch at Practical Scrappers.

Red Carpet Studio #41 - "Yellow Brick Road"

It's Sunday and time for another Red Carpet Studio challenge!

Yellow is the colour I have the least of so this was definitely a challenge for me.  I found some papers in an Amy Tangerine paper pack I won at a retreat I attended.  I popped up a few things on the page to add some dimension and I hand stitched as well.  It's my favourite addition to any project!

Embellish Me Happy #3 - Banners and a colour challenge!

Welcome to our third challenge at Embellish Me Happy!  I chose to use the zebra colour scheme.  My banner is a little wonky being vertical, but it fits the wonky me.

Here is my layout of my youngest at her sister's bowling birthday party last year.

I used a sketch from Nuts About Sketches.

Lasting Memories #143 - Opposites attract

I had a bit of difficulty trying to decide how best to interpret this weeks challenge at Lasting Memories  on my view of 'opposites attract'.

I finally decided to go with this pic of my babe, who really is the face of innocence.  This is a picture of her first haircut.  The only reason she needed a haircut is that she and her sisters played barbershop.

I played along with the sketch at Sketches in Thyme and I'm also linking up with the Distressed Stickles Challenge at All That Stickles (Broken China in the middle of the snow flake border).

Week 1 of Project Life.

On January 1st of 2013, I decided to follow in a few of my friends' footsteps and start taking one photo a day of something that had a great impact and I would want to remember.  This is not to say that I only take one picture a day, heck, some days I take hundreds!  At the end of the day I will have a quick look through my camera roll and pick one photo to post to my facebook along with a brief description.  It has been a great photo diary of our year thus far!

This brings me to today and my first reveal with the Stuck on U Sketches Project Life design team!

Considering it was May when I when I made these pages, I am so thankful for that description that has gone along with my posted photo.  It has made it so easy to remember why I thought that chosen photo was so important.

Here is the full double, yes double! spread.

For those who know me, I should have written this disclaimer right off the bat!

**Yes, this is already in an album!!**

RCS#39 - 'Boy in the Striped Pajamas'

This week at Red Carpet Studio we are featuring stripes!  Show us how much you love them!

Here is my layout and my stripes.  I know this is Valentine's Day paper, but it fit the colours of their dresses and the love that they share, then and now.

I used a sketch from Brenda Ragsdale.
