CAS-ual Fridays - Toot your own horn

I've seen a few of my friends have fun with this challenge blog.  I thought I would give it a shot, because I am CAS!

The challenge this week is to create something using inspiration from your own blog header.

Here's the card....thanks for looking!

My first stab at 'The Paper Mixing Bowl'

I have always liked the sketches on this challenge blog, but thought the "recipe" was pretty tight in what they required to play.  However, I actually read their etiquette and found out that it is super easy!

What better time to play then when they have the Buttery Popcorn challenge?  I love popcorn, with butter all the better!

Here is my version on their sketch.

Here is the recipe if you'd like to join in!

Back to School Menu Challenge at TSF!

Menu challenges are always a fun thing to play along with.  Although sometimes hard because it can push you out of your comfort zone.

My five items that I had to work with were:
- a diamond shape
- bling
- distress ink or glossy accent
- at least 3 pattern paper
- use a sketch

I used a old sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.

Thanks Christa for a fun challenge!

Amanda's 2nd sketch.

Me again.  Or rather me playing along with the weekly sketches at Two Scrapbook Friends.

This was Amanda's second time offering her sketch, and the first time I've used one of hers.

Amanda's sketch.

Christa's sketch #6

Yet another one from Two Scrapbook Friends!  This one is from Christa.

Holy smokes! Someone is on fire!

Back at Two Scrapbook Friends forum again!  This time it is Ann's 2nd sketch.

This is probably my favourite photo from last summer.  Due to our big move and how fast it happened, the older girls went with Daddy and the youngest stayed with me.  We met up on weekends when we could, and this is dh walking back to the van after breakfast one morning.  I love it!  I will be doing two more of these, so that each girl gets one for their books.

Sharlene's 7th sketch

I am really enjoying this unexpected time alone.  It has turned into a personal cropping weekend!

I am playing along with Sharlene over at Two Scrapbook Friends with her 7th sketch.

I've said it before that I am a blingophobe, but my "medium" child (as she calls herself) is a bit of a diva, so I had to bling this up a bit for her.

Your layout is due September 15th if you want to join in!

Jayne's Sketch #7

I finally found some time to play along with Two Scrapbook Friends weekly sketch!

And!!

My Sketch World is having a Labour Day online crop.  They are issuing challenges based on the letters in Labour - or in their case Labor.  This layout fits the challenge for O, which is to use a circle.

This sketch was designed by Jayne Morgan, and here is my take.

Here is her great sketch!

Thanks for having a look.

September 1st MSW reveal

Every Easter morning, the girls get five minutes to go nuts and eat as much as they want. They normally choose their big bunnies, which is harder to eat and they don't end up with much. My youngest is always the one unwilling to part with her chocolate. Truly her mom's mini!

You can find the sketch and play along at My Sketch World
